Vector Festival 2015

To Utility and Beyond (Exhibition)

FEBRUARY 18-22, 2015

Vector Festival is a participative, not-for-profit, and community-oriented initiative dedicated to showcasing experiments in digital games and interactive experiences. New media art is a diverse field characterized by a wide variety of creative practices; the works shown at Vector act as a critical bridge between digital games and the larger worlds of new media art practice.

In its third year, Vector Festival 2015 showcased Canadian and international experimental media art that engages the culture and technologies of digital gaming. The festival included an exhibition, a panel discussion, a performance night, a screening, a speaker social, and a public workshop, all striving to foster critical dialogues between digital game culture and contemporary media art in an accessible, enjoyable, exciting atmosphere.

Vector Festival 2015 was curated by Skot Deeming and Martin Zeilinger.
