VECTOR FESTIVAL 2025: Community Programs

Call for Submissions

We invite the proposals of community programs to be included in the festival schedule. This opportunity is directed toward community groups, DIY collectives, or arts organizers running independent programming, including, but not limited to: performances, gatherings, or coworking sessions.

The 12th edition of Vector Festival, 404_not_found, will resurface our forgotten realities of the 1:1 relationship between digital representations of the physical. If we held close the understanding that our digital memories had physical footprints – motherboards that can corrode or servers that require maintenance – would we still expect immortality from the web? How can we build websites that are meant to decay, perennial files, or computers that are only awake with the sun? Can our machines teach us to celebrate impermanence?

Community programs included in the festival are asked to respond to the festival theme. Please note this application differs from other festival opportunities as applicants are responsible for expenses, artist fees, and event organization, making this application well-suited for groups already running programming during the festival dates. Vector Festival will assist with securing a venue, marketing and promotions, and applying for additional funding.
