Join board game expert Will Robinson (from Concordia’s TAGlab) and 2012 Toronto Board Game Jam Winner Alison Pattern (for We Are Legion, a co-op boardgame about Anonymous) in a lively group experiment centered around remaking classic board games. With guidance from Will and Alison, learn about the underlying structures of board game rules and mechanics, how to deconstruct them, and how to build your own.
4 teams of 5 people were each given pieces and boards from classic board games, in order to remix them to create whole new games over the course of the afternoon. Frantic fun is sure to be had. These games will then be given display space at Vector on Sunday, inviting visitors to meet workshop participants and play test these new game remixes.
